About Hokuto no Ken

Fist of Thor is a side scrolling beat em up adapted from its anime source material. Players assume the role of Kenshiro, whose objective is to find and rescue his girlfriend Julia.

Progression involves moving from the right side of the screen to the left, where various doors can be entered. Julia's image appears on some doors, indicating the correct path forward. The primary action consists of confronting enemies who attack at close range or with thrown weapons, using punches and kicks to defeat them. A notable visual feature is the gory defeat animation for foes, which shows their heads being torn off and exploding.
