About P-Man

"P-Man" is a Japan exclusive Game Boy title, distinct from the North American Bomberman GB. Its core gameplay involves arena based combat where players use bombs to defeat opponents.

The single player mode progresses through increasingly challenging stages. Players face a series of one on one matches against dark Bomberman characters, with the number of opponents increasing after each victory. Defeating these opponents unlocks boss battles, which grant permanent abilities like bomb kicking and increased speed. Temporary power ups found during matches can enhance blast radius or provide invincibility.

For multiplayer, two to four players can compete in bomb battles. This requires a Super Game Boy adapter for the SNES, with a multitap accessory needed for more than two participants. The game was later released in the United States as Wario Blast, which replaced the original animated opening and incorporated the Wario character.
