Select from 12 warriors to defeat the possessed Amakusa in this fighting game.

Nettou Samurai Spirits is the Game Boy version of Samurai Shodown, released by Takara in Japan on June 30, 1994. The original arcade game was released by SNK in 1993.

About Nettou Samurai Spirits

Nettou Samurai Spirits is set in early feudal Japan, where a figure named Shiro Tokisada Amakusa spreads a heretical faith. This character is secretly a vessel for the malevolent entity Ambrosia, whose goal is to plunge the world into permanent darkness.

Players choose from a roster of twelve primary warriors, with three additional bonus characters available, to confront this threat. Each warrior has a distinct personal mission to accomplish alongside the main objective of defeating Amakusa.

A separate release of the game for the Genesis platform omitted the character Earthquake due to the hardware's memory and technical constraints.
