About Mysterium

Mysterium is a game where the player takes on the role of an alchemist whose objective is to prove their skill. This is accomplished by navigating through a series of mazes, which contain both useful items and hostile creatures.

Core gameplay revolves around a system of item transformation. Objects discovered within the maze can be converted into more practical forms through specific environmental interactions, such as turning iron into a glass key by using a pool of fire. These conversions are logical and often multi-step, requiring the player to deduce chains of actions. Careful documentation of these processes is necessary to understand the full range of possibilities.

Encounters with monsters add a layer of challenging opposition. This threat is managed through the same alchemical system, as players can create weapons by transforming appropriate materials found in the environment.
