About Mega Man II

Mega Man II for the Game Boy is a side-scrolling platformer where the player navigates a series of levels, each culminating in a boss encounter. The narrative setup involves Dr. Wily stealing a time machine called the Time Skimmer and traveling far into the future, prompting Mega Man and his robotic dog Rush to pursue him.

Its structure borrows level designs and bosses from the NES titles Mega Man 2 and Mega Man 3, with the first four stages resembling the former and the next four the latter. Progression involves defeating these bosses to acquire their unique weapons, which become part of Mega Man's arsenal. Rush can also be upgraded to serve as a trampoline, submarine, or jet, providing additional mobility options during the platforming challenges.
