Legend of the River King was released for the Game Boy in 1997 in North America and Europe by Natsume. The original Japanese version, Kawa no Nushi Tsuri 3, was released in 1996 for the Game Boy in Japan, but the supplied platform version is the international Game Boy release, which first came out in 1997.
