About Kirby's Star Stacker

Kirby's Star Stacker is a puzzle game that shares a fundamental similarity with Tetris in its falling-block design. The primary objective involves clearing blocks by positioning Star Blocks between two matching Friend Blocks, which can be aligned either side-by-side or one above the other.

Several block types dictate the play. Friend Blocks, adorned with characters from Kirby's Dream Land 2, must be matched in pairs to trigger a clearance, taking any intervening Star Blocks with them. Bomb Blocks, when sandwiched, cause an explosion that wipes out an entire row. Hard Blocks require two clearing actions, first converting into a standard Star Block before they can be removed.

The game incorporates a challenging chain reaction system. Successive clears caused by previous removals are rewarded with additional Stars falling into the play area. These can fill spaces and potentially create further clearing opportunities, extending the chain. Multiple gameplay modes are available, including Story, Challenge, and Time Trial, all built upon this core matching mechanic.
