About Dragon Ball Z : Gokuu Hishouden

Dragon Ball Z: Gokuu Hishouden is a Game Boy title that adapts story arcs from both Dragon Ball and Dragon Ball Z. Its narrative scope covers Goku's training with Kami and concludes with the Saiyan Saga's conflict against Vegeta.

The core gameplay blends role-playing and strategic elements. Players manage turns by selecting actions such as movement, energy charging, and various physical or special attacks, after which the outcomes play out. A separate interactive dodging system requires precise button inputs during enemy assaults, adding a layer of active timing to the turn-based structure.

Beyond the main campaign, a separate tournament mode is included. This mode recreates Goku's participation in the 23rd Tenkaichi Budōkai from the earlier Dragon Ball series.
