About Zebco Fishing!

Zebco Fishing! is a licensed fishing simulation for the Game Boy Color. The core activity involves navigating a boat on one of two lakes, selecting from eleven lures, and attempting to catch fish by casting, hooking a bite, and reeling in while managing line tension.

Environmental factors like weather, time of day, and location influence success, with different lures being more effective under specific conditions. Beyond standard fishing, the game includes structured challenges. One is a timed tournament focused on catching the largest single fish, while another, called Blackjack Bass, tasks the player with catching fish whose combined weight reaches exactly twenty-one pounds without going over.

A persistent goal for players is the pursuit of a particularly large fish known as the Lochness Bass, which inhabits one of the lakes. The need to manage variables like lure choice, environment, and line tension during the reel-in process makes the gameplay challenging.
