About Rayman

Rayman for the Game Boy Color is a side scrolling platformer. The player controls Rayman, a character who lacks arms and legs, on a quest to defeat the villain Mr. Dark. This antagonist has captured the Toons, beings who provide light, causing dangerous creatures to spread.

Rayman's movement includes jumping and a brief hover using his hair. His primary means of attack is throwing his fists, which can be charged for a stronger punch. Certain power ups can grant a temporary unlimited flying ability, which aids in traversing complex areas.

While maintaining the core gameplay of the original, this portable version features altered or simplified levels. The visual presentation is also notably different from the brighter graphics found in other releases.
