About Disney•Pixar Monsters, Inc.

Disney•Pixar Monsters, Inc. for the Game Boy Color is a side-scrolling platformer adapting the film's narrative. The adventure spans a dozen stages, moving from the Monsters, Inc. factory to settings like Monstropolis streets and the Himalayas.

Players alternate between controlling Mike and Sulley, each with distinct skills. Sulley can move objects to create platforms, break barriers with a dash, and hang from edges. Mike possesses a double jump and can access confined areas. Their offensive capabilities also differ, with Mike throwing cans of Blort cola and Sulley hurling toys.

Level objectives vary, from straightforward exit-finding to gathering specific items or completing tasks such as frightening a set number of children. Hazards include contact with children's toys and, in later stages, other monsters. The pursuit by Child Detection Agency agents introduces a challenging threat, as their touch results in an immediate life loss.

The game's resource system centers on Blort cola cans, which serve both as Mike's projectiles and as a shared health metric. Additional collectibles like Chinese takeout boxes and teddy bears grant extra lives.
