Dropzone

Dropzone is a Game Boy Color title that adapts the core mechanics of Defender. The setting is a desolate landscape where a jetpack-equipped spaceman flies at high speed, engaging in challenging combat against various alien types.

Primary objectives involve protecting small humanoid figures that walk the ground. Certain aliens, such as Planters and Nemesites, will attempt to abduct these figures, requiring the player to shoot the captor without harming the captive. A distinct hazard is the android, which resembles a human but is hostile and must be avoided.

The central goal is to successfully transport all rescued humans to a designated surface base for safety, an action referred to as reaching the Dropzone.
