About Dragon Warrior I & II

Dragon Warrior I & II presents two role playing games adapted for the Game Boy Color. This compilation represents a third iteration for each title, following their initial NES releases and subsequent SNES remakes.

The localization for this version features a revised translation that aligns more closely with the original Japanese names, moving away from the earlier Old English stylistic choices. Several adjustments were implemented to streamline the experience, making progression somewhat easier and faster for the player.

These modifications include a quick save function usable outside of combat, though the save file is deleted upon loading. Additional systems were introduced, such as banks for safeguarding gold, and defeated monsters now provide increased amounts of both experience points and currency.
