Iridion II

Review

Pilot a ship in 3D, upgrade six weapons, and battle through 15 levels to repel an alien invasion.

Iridion II was developed by Shin'en Multimedia and published by Majesco for the Game Boy Advance in 2003; it is the original game, not a port, so both years are 2003.

About Iridion II

Iridion II is a Game Boy Advance title that presents its action from a three dimensional viewpoint. The player controls a craft using mechanics similar to those found in Kiloblaster, engaging in what is described as a high volume of combat.

Its narrative premise is set a century after Earth was initially assaulted by the IRIDION forces. These adversaries return seeking vengeance, and with assistance from Earth being unavailable, the player assumes the role of the sole defender.

Gameplay involves progressing through fifteen stages, which are characterized by a challenging pace. A selection of six weapon types is available, and these can be enhanced to increase their effectiveness against enemy forces.
