Iridion 3D

Review

Pilot the SHN fighter through seven pseudo-3D levels, upgrading weapons to repel an alien invasion.

Iridion 3D was developed by Shin'en Multimedia and published by Majesco for the Game Boy Advance in 2001. It was the first game released for the platform in North America and was not ported from another platform, making 2001 both the original and platform-specific release year.

About Iridion 3D

Iridion 3D is a Game Boy Advance launch title from German studio Shin'en. The developer had previous experience creating audio tools for the Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance, but this project marked their first English language release.

The player controls the SHN fighter, returning from a space mission to find Earth under the control of the Iridion empire. The game's design draws inspiration from Afterburner, featuring seven levels that utilize a pseudo 3D perspective.

Gameplay involves navigating these levels while utilizing an arsenal that can be modified. The SHN fighter is equipped with five distinct weapon types, allowing for different tactical approaches to combat.
