B-Densetsu! Battle B-Daman : Fire Spirits!

"B-Densetsu! Battle B-Daman: Fire Spirits!" is an action title derived from its anime and toy series, serving as a sequel to another game released that year. The central experience involves one-on-one robotic battles viewed from a first-person perspective, where movement is restricted to lateral shifts. Players fire colored spheres to damage an opponent while dodging incoming shots.

The narrative follows Yamato Delgado, a reigning champion entering the Winners Tournament. His quest focuses on acquiring powerful Strike Shots and Petrified Parts, a journey that initially mirrors early anime episodes before diverging with a new foe, the Death Poker Alliance. Victory in matches unlocks new components, providing a system for customizing the battling robot.

Beyond the primary Adventure mode, which drives the story forward, a separate Battle mode is available. The game also includes six distinct mini-games, such as target practice and puzzle challenges. Strategic depth is introduced through various special and charged attacks, with a key mechanical change from its predecessor: the Blaster Core System replaces the Zero System, allowing players to modify special moves by equipping specific cores.
