About Year Of Snake
Year of the Snake was one of those games you'd find buried in the Flash portals of the late 2000s. It fit right in with the simple, action-focused titles that filled our browsers back then. You loaded it up, and it just started.
You control a lone warrior moving through side-scrolling stages. Your basic actions are running, jumping, and swinging your sword at the constant stream of enemy soldiers and creatures. The main goal is straightforward: fight your way from the left side of the screen to the right, clearing each area as you go. You'll encounter different enemy types that require slight adjustments in timing, and the levels occasionally introduce environmental hazards like pits or obstacles. The pacing is relentless, with little downtime between confrontations. It feels like a continuous, straightforward skirmish where your focus stays on the immediate threat in front of you.
