About Xrunning

Xrunning was one of those games you'd find in the later days of Flash, a straightforward platformer that didn't try to be anything more. It came out in 2008, a time when simple, quick games were common on any browser. You controlled a runner, a small figure tasked with navigating a series of obstacle courses. The goal was clear from the start: get to the end of each level without falling or getting hit.

You guide the runner using the arrow keys, moving left and right to position yourself, and pressing up to jump. The levels are filled with gaps to leap over, moving platforms to time your jumps onto, and occasional hazards to avoid. Your main objective is simply to reach the exit door, but the challenge comes from the precision required. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up steadily, introducing new timing puzzles and tighter spaces. It feels responsive and direct, a game where every mistake is your own and every success is earned through careful movement.
