Xevious

You pilot a ship called the Solvalou, constantly scrolling upward. Your job is to survive as long as possible, clearing waves of airborne fighters and bombing ground installations. You have two weapons: a standard forward shot for air targets and a separate bomb for structures on the landscape below. The game moves at a steady, relentless pace. Enemy patterns become more complex, and the ground fire is particularly unforgiving. It feels like a constant, tense balancing act between watching the sky and the terrain.
