About Word Grill
Word Grill was one of those straightforward browser games from the Flash era. It arrived when a quick puzzle during a break was a common routine. The interface was simple, a grid of black and white squares waiting to be filled.
You control the cursor, clicking on a clue from the list to highlight its corresponding squares in the grid. Typing is done with the keyboard, letter by letter. The main objective is to complete the entire crossword by solving the across and down clues. The game often included a hint system, revealing a single letter if you were stuck. Puzzles were usually timed, adding a quiet pressure to your thinking. It moved at a deliberate, thoughtful pace, neither frantic nor slow. The experience felt like a focused, solitary task of fitting words into their designated spaces.
