About Windy Clothesline
Windy Clothesline was one of those simple, clever games that felt typical of the Flash era. You'd find it on a gaming portal, load it up in a browser, and within seconds understand the premise. It didn't need a complicated backstory or elaborate graphics to pull you in.
You control a cursor, moving it to pin laundry to a clothesline stretched across the screen. The challenge comes from the weather. Gusts of wind try to blow your shirts and socks away, and rain clouds drift in to soak everything. Your job is to click and hold each item securely, sometimes using two pins for larger pieces, until the bad weather passes. The pace starts calmly but builds as more items appear and the wind grows stronger. It creates a quiet tension, a race against the elements with just your mouse. The game feels like a focused, physical task, where a moment's lapse means watching your clean laundry tumble off into the distance.
