About Quicksands
Quicksands was one of those Flash games you'd find on a portal in the late 2000s. It didn't have a complicated story or fancy graphics. You were just there, in a pit of sand, with a simple goal that quickly became everything.
You control a small character, often just a pair of eyes, standing on a platform above the quicksand. Colored blocks fall from above and sink into the sand. Your job is to match three or more blocks of the same color by clicking on them before they disappear. Each match clears space and gives you a little more time. The main objective is to survive as long as possible, preventing the sand from rising high enough to swallow your platform. The pace starts slow but builds relentlessly. You find yourself scanning the pit, making quick matches to create chain reactions, and sometimes letting blocks sink strategically to set up a bigger combo. It's a constant race against the rising tide. The game feels like a quiet, focused panic, where every click either saves you or brings you closer to the end.
