About Vermilion Prototype

Vermilion Prototype was one of those games you'd find buried in the Flash portals of the late 2000s. It had that distinct look of early browser-based 3D, a bit rough around the edges but ambitious for its time. You loaded it up right there in your web browser, no installation needed, which was the whole point of that era.

You pilot a small ship through tight, winding corridors. The view is from behind your craft, and you use the mouse to aim and shoot at everything that moves. Your main goal is simple: survive each level and eventually take down a final target called the Masterhost. Along the way, you collect credits from destroyed enemies. Between stages, you spend those credits on upgrades. You might improve your lasers, reinforce your shields, or add support drones. The pace is relentless, and the corridors fill up with enemy fire quickly, making it a challenging scramble. The game feels like a tense, claustrophobic race where every credit you earn matters for the next fight.
