About This Is Madness
This Is Madness was one of those games you found in the later days of Flash, a straightforward side-scrolling shooter that didn't try to be anything more. It came from a time when simple mechanics and a clear theme were enough to hold your attention for a while. You just loaded it up and got straight into the action.
You control a lone soldier running from left to right across a battlefield. Your main job is to survive the waves of enemies coming at you. You move with the WASD keys, jump to avoid fire, and switch between a small arsenal of weapons using the mouse wheel or the Q and E keys. The pacing is relentless; you are constantly shooting, dodging, and managing your ammo. The objective is simply to last as long as you can against an endless assault. The game feels like a tense, chaotic scramble where every second counts.
