About Laymon Invader

Laymon Invader was one of those straightforward Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s. It didn't try to be anything more than a quick, browser-based action game. You controlled a small ship at the bottom of the screen, tasked with holding back an alien fleet.

You move your ship left and right, firing upward at the descending formations. The aliens advance methodically, and your goal is simply to destroy them all before they reach the bottom. If you clear a wave, the next one appears, often moving a bit faster. The mechanics are basic: you have a single shot, and you learn to time your movements to avoid the enemy's return fire. The pacing is steady, and the difficulty comes from the aliens' increasing numbers and speed. It feels like a focused, almost rhythmic test of your reflexes.
