Super Villain Smash Out

You control a paddle at the bottom of the screen, using your mouse to slide it left and right. Your goal is to keep a ball in play, using it to smash all the blocks arranged above. The twist is that you are also defending a goal behind your paddle; if the ball gets past you, you lose a life. The mechanics borrow from block-breaking games and air hockey, creating a tense back-and-forth. The pace is fast, and the difficulty ramps up as the ball speeds up and the block patterns become more complex. It feels like a constant, frantic race to react.
