About Space Dude

Space Dude was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It had that simple, direct style common to the era, a straightforward shooter you could load in a browser and play for a few minutes. The screen was usually cluttered with ads, but the game itself was just a small window of action.

You control a single character, the Space Dude, moving him left and right with the arrow keys. Your only action is to shoot, triggered by pressing the spacebar. Waves of alien enemies descend from the top of the screen, and your objective is to eliminate them all before they reach the bottom or overwhelm you. The mechanics are basic: you dodge incoming fire while returning your own, and sometimes you might collect a power-up for a temporary spread shot. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty ramps up steadily as more enemy types appear. It feels like a tense, repetitive dance of evasion and precise timing.
