About Snowboard Master
Snowboard Master was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the late 2000s. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple title that promised a quick run down a mountain. You loaded it in a browser window, and for a few minutes, you were just a rider on a slope.
You control a snowboarder from a side view, always moving to the right. Your job is to get down the hill without crashing into trees, rocks, or gaps in the terrain. You use the mouse to tilt the board for balance, and the spacebar to jump over obstacles. The main objective is simply to survive each run, with the course getting faster and more cluttered the further you go. The pacing is relentless; a small mistake sends you tumbling, forcing a restart. It feels like a constant, jittery negotiation with the physics, where a perfect run is more a relief than a triumph.
