Rocket Fighter - The Lost Land Of Drain

You control a small, nimble spacecraft, moving it left and right while automatically scrolling forward. The immediate goal is to survive the onslaught of enemy ships and environmental hazards, clearing a path forward. You have a standard rapid-fire attack and a limited supply of bombs for clearing the screen. The game also includes a weapon pickup system; collecting certain icons changes your main fire to things like spread shots or lasers, which helps manage the increasing enemy density.
