About Rauska Slug
Rauska Slug came out during the Flash era, a time when you could find a lot of quick, tough action games in your browser. It was clearly inspired by the run-and-gun style of games like Metal Slug, offering that same kind of frantic, side-scrolling combat in a more accessible format.
You control a lone soldier moving from left to right. You run, you jump over gaps, and you shoot constantly at the waves of enemy soldiers and vehicles that pour onto the screen. Your main goal is simple: survive to the end of each stage. Along the way, you can pick up different weapons, and you have a limited supply of bombs to clear the screen when things get too crowded. The pacing is relentless, and the difficulty is high; you will die often, learning enemy patterns through repetition. It feels like a concentrated burst of chaotic, satisfying action.
