About Railroad Ruckus
Railroad Ruckus was one of those games you'd find buried in a Flash portal, a simple distraction from the early 2000s web. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just the kind of straightforward arcade concept that filled those sites. You loaded it up in your browser, and it was ready to go without any fuss.
You control a railroad switch operator. Your job is to click tracks at junctions to guide colored trains to their matching stations. The trains come quickly, and if you send one to the wrong depot, it's a crash. The screen fills with different lines, and you have to keep up, making split-second decisions as more engines appear. The pace picks up steadily, and a single mistake can cascade into a mess of collisions. It feels like a constant, satisfying scramble to keep everything moving.
