About Primary
Primary was one of those games you'd find in the late 2000s, a straightforward action platformer from the Flash era. It didn't have a big studio name attached, just a simple executable file you'd run. The goal was clear from the start: get your character to the end of each stage.
You control a small, colored character, moving through rooms with the WAD keys. The space bar is your attack, used to clear the various enemies that block your path. You press R to interact with objects like elevators and switches, which often open new routes. The main challenge comes from navigating the platforms and timing your attacks against the enemies, including some with black tentacles that require careful approach. The pacing is quick, with each room presenting a new small puzzle of movement and combat. It feels like a focused test of basic platforming reflexes.
