About Pantheon
Pantheon was one of those puzzle games you'd find on Flash portals in the mid-2000s. It fit right in with the era's straightforward, browser based titles you could pick up for a quick session. The game had a clean, almost classical aesthetic, with its grid of colored gems set against a simple background.
You control a cursor, clicking on groups of two or more adjacent gems of the same color to clear them from the board. New gems fall from the top to fill the empty spaces, often creating new matches in a satisfying chain reaction. The main objective is to clear a specific number of gems, shown by a progress bar, before you run out of moves. The game gives you a limited number of clicks per level, so you have to plan your matches to maximize the cascade. It starts gently but the later boards require more foresight, tightening the margin for error. The feeling is one of quiet focus, watching the board reset itself after each deliberate click.
