About Overmode
You control a small ship locked in a vertical arena, constantly firing at waves of geometric enemies. The main goal is simple: survive each mode and rack up a high score. The game cycles through fifteen distinct variations, each altering the rules. One mode might flood the screen with slow, predictable patterns, while another turns the enemy bullets into dense, fast moving curtains. You're always dodging, weaving through tight gaps, and holding down the fire button. The pacing is relentless, shifting from manageable to overwhelming without much warning. It feels like a pure test of reflexes and pattern recognition, a sharp, focused burst of challenge.
