About No-Limit's Space Crusaders

No-Limit's Space Crusaders was one of those vertical shooters you'd find in the Flash era. It had the look of an older 8-bit game, with simple pixel art and a straightforward premise about defending Earth from an alien fleet. You didn't need a complicated backstory to get started; you just jumped in and started flying.

You control a lone spacecraft at the bottom of the screen. Your job is to survive waves of enemy ships and projectiles scrolling down from above. You move with the arrow keys and fire your main weapon with the spacebar. Holding the spacebar often charges a more powerful shot, which becomes essential for dealing with tougher enemies or clusters. The main objective is to clear each stage and defeat the boss waiting at the end. The pacing is steady, with the difficulty ramping up as enemy patterns become denser and more aggressive. It feels like a focused test of your reflexes and positioning, where a single mistake can cost you a life.
