About Music Wind

Music Wind was one of those simple, absorbing games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complicated story or elaborate graphics. It was just there, a quiet little puzzle you could load in a browser tab between other tasks. I don't recall who made it, and the exact year escapes me, but it fit right in with that period of straightforward, experimental web games.

You control the flow of musical notes and symbols falling from the top of the screen. Your job is to guide them into a series of houses or tubes below by clicking where you want each one to land. The main objective is to group matching colors or matching symbols together; when you form a set, they vanish with a little chime. You have to be careful, though. If a note misses its house and falls into the water at the bottom, you lose points. The game ends when all the tubes fill up completely or your timer runs out. It starts calmly, but the pace picks up, and managing the descending symbols before they overflow becomes a real challenge. The feeling is one of quiet focus, a race against a gentle but persistent clock.
