About Mk5

Mk5, or Flash Classic as it's sometimes called, came out during that period when simple browser games were everywhere. You'd find it on a site, click, and be playing in seconds. It had that straightforward, uncluttered look common to many Flash titles from the time.

You control a small, hovering robot. Your mouse directs its movement, and you click to fire its weapon. The objective is to survive waves of enemy drones that enter from the edges of the screen. You weave through their formations, dodging their fire while picking them off one by one. The pace is steady, building tension as more enemies appear. It feels responsive; a quick flick of the wrist sends the bot sliding out of danger. The game has a clean, almost minimalist feel to its action. You are just a dot against a grid, trading shots with other dots, and that simplicity makes every near-miss matter.
