About Mascot Kombat

Mascot Kombat was one of those games you'd find buried in a Flash portal in the early 2000s. It belonged to that era where a simple concept and a browser window could kill an afternoon. The game didn't take itself seriously, pitting corporate mascots against each other in a makeshift arena.

You pick a mascot, like a cereal box character or a fast-food clown, and face off against another. Movement is basic, using the arrow keys to close distance or retreat. You have a few attack buttons mapped to kicks and punches of varying speed and strength. The goal is to deplete your opponent's health bar before they do the same to you. You can block incoming hits, and each character has a special move, often activated by a quick sequence of directional inputs and an attack button. The pacing is quick, with rounds ending in just a few solid combos. It feels chaotic and a little silly, a straightforward brawl where recognizing an attack animation a half-second faster than your friend often decided the match.
