About Left Overs
Left Overs was one of those odd little games you'd find in the Flash era, a time when a simple concept could become a whole afternoon's distraction. It came out in 2005, made by a developer named Tom Fulp. The premise was straightforward and a bit gross, which was part of its charm.
You control a character who has eaten spoiled food. Your job is to click on pieces of food as they appear on screen, making your character stomp on them before they make you sick. The main objective is to survive as long as possible while the food spawns faster and in greater numbers. You have to manage a nausea meter; if it fills up, you lose. The pacing starts slow but quickly becomes frantic, demanding quick mouse clicks and a sharp eye. It feels like a race against your own stomach, a silly but tense scramble to stay in control.
