About Kane The Ninja

Kane The Ninja was one of those games you'd find in the late 2000s, a time when Flash games were a common way to pass an afternoon. It fit right in with other side-scrolling action titles that loaded in a browser window. The story setup was straightforward: a princess had been taken, and after a failed military rescue, the task fell to a lone ninja named Kane.

You control Kane through a series of platforming levels, moving with the arrow keys. The left and right arrows make him run, while up makes him jump across gaps and onto ledges. Your main goal is to fight through each stage's enemies to reach the end. You have a standard attack button and a separate button for a special move, which you can cycle between using the number keys. The pacing is quick, and the difficulty comes from timing your jumps and attacks against groups of foes. It feels like a focused, no-frills test of basic platforming and combat reflexes.
