About Infect. Evolve. Repeat.
Infect. Evolve. Repeat. was one of those straightforward Flash games you'd find in the late 2000s. It fit right into that era of simple, single-mechanic browser games you could pick up for a few minutes. The premise was clear from the title, and it didn't try to be anything more than that.
You control a small, circular virus. Your immediate goal is to touch the red blood cells drifting across the screen. Each infection adds to your score and spawns another virus under your control, creating a growing swarm. You must constantly guide your viruses upward to infect new cells while avoiding falling to the bottom of the screen, which ends the game. As you progress, you can spend points on permanent upgrades, like faster movement or a larger starting swarm, which let you survive longer in later runs. The pace is relentless; the screen fills with cells, and managing your expanding cluster requires constant attention. It feels like a tense, escalating race against gravity.
