About Hollywood
Hollywood was one of those Flash games you'd find in the mid-2000s, a time when browser games offered quick, quirky diversions. It came out around 2008, a simple production from a developer known for these casual titles. The premise was straightforward: you were a makeup artist for celebrities.
You control a cursor to apply makeup to three celebrities: Vanessa Hudgens, Katy Perry, and Justin Timberlake. Each face is a blank canvas. You select from a palette of foundations, eye shadows, lipsticks, and blushes, clicking and dragging to apply color. The challenge is in the precision; you need to stay within the lines of their features, avoiding smudges on their skin or clothes. Your main objective is to complete each look to the client's satisfaction before time runs out. The game moves at a steady, insistent pace. It's not particularly difficult, but it requires a steady hand and quick decisions, especially when switching between tools. The experience feels like a light, slightly frantic puzzle of aesthetics and timing.
