About Greedy Ghouls
Greedy Ghouls was one of those Flash games you'd find tucked away on a gaming portal in the late 2000s. It had that simple, cartoonish look common to the era, with bright colors and clear objectives. You didn't need a manual to understand what was happening.
You control a character defending a money tree at the center of the screen. Ghouls emerge from the edges, shuffling toward your treasure. Your job is to stop them. You use the mouse to aim and shoot, while the WASD or arrow keys let you move around the perimeter. The space bar brings up an upgrade menu for your weapons, and the E key lets you place stationary turrets for extra firepower. The goal is straightforward: survive the waves and protect the tree. Early rounds are manageable, letting you figure out the economy of earning cash from kills to fund your upgrades. Later, the ghouls come faster and in greater numbers, forcing you to juggle shooting, dodging, and quick purchases. It feels like a frantic, single-screen scramble where a moment's hesitation can let the horde through.
