About Golden Sun

Golden Sun was a Flash game from the early 2000s, a time when simple browser games offered surprisingly deep adventures. It was based on a popular console role-playing series, bringing that style of exploration and combat to a web format.

You control a party of four characters, navigating them through towns and dungeons from an overhead view. Your main goal is to prevent a dangerous power from being unleashed upon the world. In combat, you select attacks and spells from a menu, managing your party's health and special abilities called Psynergy. Outside of battle, you use these same powers to solve environmental puzzles, like moving stone pillars to clear a path. The game moves at a steady pace, with combat encounters that require some thought but rarely feel punishing. It feels like a condensed, thoughtful journey where each small discovery matters.
