About Going Up
Going Up was one of those simple, absorbing games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't need a complicated story or fancy graphics. You just started playing, and the premise pulled you in immediately. The goal was straightforward, a clear directive that defined every session.
You control a small character, often using your mouse to guide them. Your job is to ascend a series of floating platforms by jumping from one to the next. The main mechanic involves clicking to make your character leap. As you climb, you must manage a pair of balloons tied to you; they can pop if they hit the platforms from below, and if you fall off the screen's bottom, it's over. The pace is steady, but the platforms become more spaced out, demanding careful timing. The game feels like a quiet, persistent test of your precision and patience.
