About Frost Bite

Frost Bite was one of those games you'd find on a Flash portal in the mid-2000s, a simple platformer that felt right at home among other browser-based time-killers. It had a clean, wintry look that loaded quickly and asked very little of you except to play.

You control a small, bundled-up character trying to scale a series of icy cliffs. The main goal is to reach the top of each stage. You use a grappling hook, fired with a mouse click, to latch onto floating ice blocks and pull yourself upward. The challenge comes from timing your swings to avoid gaps and the creatures that patrol the walls. The game moves at a steady clip, and a missed grapple often means a long fall back down. It feels like a test of patience and rhythm, where each successful latch is a small, quiet victory.
