About Falling Cubes

Falling Cubes was one of those simple games you'd find during the Flash era. It didn't have a complicated story or fancy graphics. It was just there, a straightforward puzzle to fill a few minutes between tasks. The game appeared online in the early 2000s, a time when many similar browser-based puzzles were shared freely.

You control a cursor, clicking on groups of colored cubes that fall from the top of the screen. The goal is to prevent the stack from reaching the top by clearing them. You look for clusters of two or more cubes of the same color that are touching, then click to make them vanish. New cubes constantly descend, so you have to think ahead, often trying to set up larger combos for a better score. The pace is steady, and the difficulty comes from the board filling up faster than you can clear it. It feels like a quiet, methodical race against a slowly rising tide.
