About Ether Cannon
Ether Cannon was one of those games you'd find in the late 2000s, a straightforward shooter from the Flash era. It didn't try to be anything more than a solid way to spend twenty minutes. You just loaded it in a browser and started playing.
You control a small ship defending Earth, using the mouse to aim a wide energy beam at drifting, gaseous aliens. The objective is simple: survive each wave and clear all twenty one levels. Your cannon overheats if you fire too long, forcing you to manage your shots. Some enemies split into smaller creatures when hit, filling the screen with more targets. The pace is relentless, with little downtime between assaults. It feels like holding back a chaotic, colorful tide that keeps pushing forward.
