About Endless War 3
Endless War 3 was one of those strategy games you'd find during the Flash era. It came out in 2008, developed by Armor Games. You'd load it up in your browser, and it was straightforward, a game about managing a squad in a persistent conflict.
You control a single soldier from a top-down perspective, directing your squadmates with simple commands. Your main goal is to capture enemy bases across a large map, moving from one contested point to the next. Moment to moment, you're moving with WASD, firing at enemy infantry and vehicles, and using number keys to switch between weapons like rifles and rocket launchers. You can issue orders to your squad to attack or hold position, and you need to manage ammunition, reloading manually. The pacing is constant; enemies reinforce their positions, and the front lines shift back and forth. It feels like a tug of war where small decisions about positioning and target priority add up over a long session. The game creates a sense of a grinding, ongoing battle where progress is measured one capture point at a time.
