About Dynaminer
Dynaminer was one of those games you'd find tucked away on a Flash portal in the early 2000s. It didn't have a grand story or complex graphics. It was just a simple, grid-based puzzle about a miner and his explosives. You controlled that miner, a little pixelated figure, and your goal was straightforward: get him to the cave's exit.
You moved with the arrow keys, navigating a single-screen layout of destructible blocks. The core action was placing dynamite with the spacebar. You had three types to choose from, selected by pressing 1, 2, or 3. Each type had a different blast radius, so you had to think about which one to use and where to stand. A misplaced charge could trap you or destroy the only path forward. The game moved at a deliberate pace, each level a small logistical problem to solve. It felt like a quiet, methodical exercise in causing just the right amount of chaos.
